If you suffered from an accident while on public property, which was not your fault, then you may be entitled to make a claim. The person or company owning or being responsible for maintaining the public area should have taken out a public liability insurance policy to compensate members of the public for any injury they sustain while on the property caused by their negligence.
Examples of Public Liability Claim
- Injuries caused by dangerous footpaths or pavements, pot holes, tree roots and faulty escalators.
- Injuries caused by sharp objects or objects falling from a height in a public place
- Broken down fences or other obstructions to the highways or pavements.
- Injuries caused by sudden or unexpected stopping while travelling in MRT or bus
