Making For A Claim In A Bicycle Accident
As reported in The New Paper on 4 March 2016, a driver of a motor vehicle could choose to sue the motorised bicycle rider for damage to his vehicle. One the key consideration for claimants is whether the rider has the means to pay from his own pocket. The law mandates insurance coverage for conventional vehicles like cars, lorries and motorcycles as stated in Sec 3 of the MOTOR VEHICLES (THIRD-PARTY RISKS AND COMPENSATION) ACT. However, this is no compulsory insurance for riders of motorised bicycle.
